How to Build A Jacked Back
While Eric and I were back in Las Vegas this past week, I set up a time with my former Las Vegas neighbor, friend, and photographer, to do a photoshoot to refresh all my photos.
After the shoot, my friend sent me some of the pictures he took and I honestly could not believe my eyes.
This is my back…
I could not believe that this was my back!
What is so crazy is that bodybuilders and physique competitors go to extreme measures to build a back like mine and I have done nothing extreme or crazy to build my physique.
All I have done is everything that I have been sharing with you:
- Walking 14k+ steps per day combining this with my Level 2 cardio, by going for a 2+ mile walk with a loaded backpack
- Strength training 5-6x per week, following a program with progressive overload
- Eating real, whole foods and following a macro based nutrition plan that includes eating at least 1g of high quality, complete, lean protein per 1 lb of bodyweight
- No alcohol or refined sugar, and minimized caffeine
- Taking creatine, collagen, Armra Colostrum for gut health, Urolithin A for mitochondrial health
- Getting 8 hours of sleep per night – in bed between 9:30/10pm
Over the past 6 months, I haven’t even been able to train pull-ups as much as I usually do because the doorways in our apartment cannot support my body weight with the doorway pull-up bar.
I have only been training with the kettlebells we have for our home gym and followed the Metabolic Muscle program through the end of March of this year.
In April, I switched to a slightly different program but I am still doing 2 of the Metabolic Muscle strength training circuits – the 15 second interval day and the 20 second interval day.
