I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. I specialize in Hardstyle Style Kettlebell Training (I am StrongFirst (SFG) Team Leader), and women’s strength training. I am also the 9th woman and the lightest woman to complete the Iron Maiden Challenge, a Black Belt in Kung Fu, Certified Kettlebell-Functional Movement Specialist (CK-FMS), Dynamic Variable Resistance Training Instructor Level I (DVRT I) Ultimate Sandbag Training, Precision Nutrition Level I Coach (Pn1), a certified Spin Instructor, as well as certified to train the pregnant and post-partum client.
I have been working in the Fitness Industry for over 16 years. I made a drastic career change and left my job as an IT Consultant to pursue a career in fitness and I never looked back. Working in an office did not suit me as I have been an athlete all of my life. I was a ballet dancer for 23 years and then decided to hang up my ballet shoes to study Kung Fu. I obtained my black belt in Kung Fu in 2009 which, next to training and testing for my Russian Hardstyle Kettlebell Instructor Certification, and training for and completing the Iron Maiden Challenge, was one of the hardest accomplishments that I have ever achieved.
I seek to empower women through strength and I inspire clients every day to incorporate and stay with their fitness routines by setting realistic goals and by keeping their training applicable to their every day lives, yet also interesting and challenging. I swear by what I call “unsexy” training methods and kettlebell training, as kettlebell training and strength training not only strengthened and changed my body, but also my mindset.
