“I want to give up…”
All the time I hear from midlife women and my clients,
“I was in a good groove working out, eating healthy, and seeing some progress BUT THEN…
the scale went up so I gave up…
I got sick and then couldn’t motivate myself to get going again…
I went on vacation and then never got back to it…
It was the holidays, and then January+February were cold, icey, and snowy, so I fell out of my routine and had no motivation to start again…“
Listen up my Midlife Queen! There is never a “good time” and there is no such thing as “falling off track”, and in fact, there is no such thing as “the track”.
LIFE is the track and the scale fluctuating, getting sick, holidays, and vacations are all part of it.
If you want to change your body, FOR GOOD, and support your health at midlife you need to change your mindset that eating healthy, walking 10k steps/day, and exercising regularly is not a diet, fad, or one time thing.
It’s a LIFESTYLE.
The sooner you adopt the mindset that this is your new routine, and illness, weight fluctuations, holidays, family events, parties, and vacations are included in your LIFEstyle, the sooner you will learn how to adjust and adapt your healthy lifestyle to all of these things that are LIFE.
All too often I see women get started, do well for a little while, and then something like the scale going up, kids getting sick, or going on vacation deters them from learning how to adapt and keep going.
Instead, you give up, and you never get to see what would have happened and the results that you would have achieved had you pushed through the hard time and just kept going.
If my client Karyn quit when shit got hard, she would not have lost 20lbs+8 inches, fit back into her skinny jeans, and felt amazing rocking a bikini on a cruise this past November.
If my client Heather quit when shit got hard, she would not have lost 13lbs+5 inches, be wearing shorts she hasn’t worn in months, and be throwing around weights so heavy her husband has to keep up.
My group Midlife Muscles & Macros opens for enrollment THIS Tuesday, March 4th.
Get ready my Midlife Queen, it’s time for you to flip the script and reclaim your inner badass!
P.S. Client Interview: Karyn, Age 47
Yesterday I interviewed my client Karyn, Age 47.
In this client interview she shares how she went from having zero energy, gaining 30lbs, her clothes not fitting her anymore, and trying things that worked in the past to lose weight (e.g. cutting carbs and extra cardio), that ended up not working this time around, to getting her energy and motivation back, fitting back into her skinny jeans (she exclaims, “I lost a pants size!), and losing 20 lbs and 8 inches!
Even better, she’s been in maintenance since November and has maintained this weight loss. Now she’s getting ready to go into another fat loss phase to lose the last 10lbs she wants to lose.
In this interview Karyn shares the hacks and strategies she used to juggle working full-time, and being a mom and grandma, while also achieving her fat loss and health goals.
Now her healthy habits are her lifestyle – her way of life.
