Recently I was talking to my dad about how I had changed the focus of my business from strength training, nutrition, and hormone balance coaching, to business coaching and mentorship for fitness professionals who want to transition online and/or build their online coaching businesses to $100k and beyond.

As we were chatting, he paused and said, “Artemis, you have so much to offer. This makes so much sense. You have done so many things during your career as a fitness professional, like leaving your IT Consulting job to work as a personal trainer and SUCCEEDING when many others would have failed, plus owning your own gym, and building your online business, that NOW you can help other to do the same.”

When I heard him say this to me, even though I was already doing it, I thought, “He’s right.”

As I set out to make this transition in December, I had doubts fueled by guilt as to whether or not I was making the right decision. DOUBT if this was the right direction I should take and if I would succeed, FEAR of the unknown about what was to come as I built this new business, and GUILT for letting my non-business coaching clients down as I changed the focus and vision for my business.

I lived in a tornado of these emotions for a few weeks until I had a total meltdown that drove me to stop worrying, and instead start celebrating and commit 110% to the new as I let go of the old. After 17 total years in the fitness industry – 12 years full-time, and 8 years online, at the end of last year I had outgrown fitness and nutrition coaching and needed to create a new focus for my business that matched my growth as a human and as a professional.

Even though on some level I knew this was the change that needed to happen, and that I was truly ready for it, it wasn’t until I heard my dad say it out loud for me to ring the PR Bell in my head and think “HELL YEAH!!”.
