Not Nice Things Were Said About Me…
Last week I posted a guest blog about building big, buff, and beautiful shoulders entitled, “Shoulders, I Like Them Big, Buff, & Beautiful” by my colleague and fellow I Am Not Afraid To Lift® Retreat coach Julia Ladewski. Yesterday I learned, via a post that Julia wrote, “Not nice things were said about me…”, that when she posted the blog, along with the picture shown below right, on her own personal page, that she was attacked by a woman, who is an adjunct professor, about being “manly”, “mannish in appearance”, “hardly beautiful”, “narcissistic”, and many other not so nice things. This woman and her unsolicited, inappropriate, and flat out mean comments are exactly what is wrong with our society and what contributes to the assault on girls and women’s self esteem.
Fortunately MANY people came to Julia’s defense.
If you are still on the fence about registering for the I Am Not Afraid To Lift® Retreat in May, hopefully Julia’s response below should help you to lock that in to a “YES, I am registering NOW” decision.
